Potty Time, Excellent!
B number one’d AND two’d in his training toilet today!
We weren’t really trying to train him yet. We just have the training toilet out in our upstairs guest bathroom so he can familiarize himself with it. Every time B sees it, he does his sign for “poo poo” and sits on it for fun… Still with a diaper on though. (I have noticed that he’ll usually have a dirty diaper after “playing” so, maybe he wasn’t playing after all?)
Anyway, before his bath tonight, he signed “poo poo” and sat on the can. I thought to myself, “eh, let’s see what happens…” so, I removed his diaper and let him sit back down. He was just sitting there babbling then he pointed his wee-wee down and peed! I cheered and clapped! Then I could tell he needed to go number two, so I continued to cheer him on and voila, he did it!
B’s still wearing diapers, but I think I’ll continue to let him use the potty before his baths, then just keep adding “sessions” such as, mornings, then more throughout the day. Besides, we still have time before baby #2 arrives. It would be awesome if B were completely potty trained by then… No double diaper duty equals money saved!! :)
I never thought this would be such a joyous, blog-worthy occasion! But, it is because it’s my boy growing up :) Just be glad I didn’t take a picture of it haha ;)
